Mitsuru Hikime Wax

mitsuro-hikime-2350850.jpg

Usually the wax is melted first. Feel free to start with more wax than necessary because you can reuse it every time. Melt the wax on baking paper or aluminum foil into a plate a few millimeters thick, wait until it hardens, and then you can shape it with your hands by stretching, folding and twisting.

A 50 gram block is approximately 4.5cmx4.5cmx2.5cm
Specific gravity 0.934, Burnout temperatures 550 - 620 degrees Celsius.
Treeing can be done with regular file wax.

Due to the low melting temperature, it is not convenient to work with the wax when it is warmer than 32 degrees.

Mitsuro Hikime

Create beautiful organic wax models with this Mitsuro Hikime Wax. Pull and stretch with your fingers to form the line structure. This is produced in Australia by the Mitsuro Hikime wax specialist. After much demand from our customers, it is now also for sale at Herens & Herens. You will receive a block of +/- 50 grams, with which you can make a lot of jewelry.

We started working on it ourselves and had our models cast at a foundry to test this, and the result was really great!

The nice thing about this wax is that the melting temperature is much lower than the other types of wax. This makes it possible to continue working with it for a long time because the temperature of your hands is already sufficient to keep it soft.
